The Bantry/Dunmanway agreement is working well. Training numbers are very good. Last Tuesday (11th Sept) there was a full turnout, and a fifteen aside game, as 33 turned up for training. As explained on the website announcement and posters, there will be two teams, J1 and J3, so there will be rugby for all. It is an exciting initiative and it is great that players from both towns are co-operating and enjoying the training to date under Gordon Brett and Eugene McCarthy, both of whom are involved in the Munster setup. So action will begin shortly. The Junior 1 League Division 3 starts on the 14th of October v Scarriff @2:30pm in Dunmanway. The Junior 3 league starts on the 14th of October v Douglas (Venue to be announced)
There will be important friendly games played to get the new arrangement going, so there will be plenty of action for all concerned. Posters will go up locally and both websites will provide further information.
Training Details: Tuesdays & Fridays @7:30pm in Dunmanway.
